What is the Nuclear Decommissioning Supply Chain Charter?

The Charter was developed by the UK’s Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) to licence companies, setting out the behavioural standards expected of all organisations working within nuclear decommissioning supply chains.

It focuses on:

  • Ethical conduct

  • Transparency

  • Value for money

  • Collaborative working

  • Respect, fairness and open communication

  • A shared focus on safety, innovation and continuous improvement

  • Sustainable and environmentally responsible operations

By formally signing the Charter, WKW commits to upholding these principles in every interaction, from procurement to production, project delivery and long term partnership building.

Nuclear decommissioning demands exceptionally high standards.
Our compliance with the Charter reflects deep operational discipline, applicable across all precision engineering sectors.

The NDA are striving to achieve £1 in every £3 of their annual supply chain spend is with SMEs like us.

The SME agenda for them is more than just a target. They want to be be the best client they can be by successfully delivering challenging projects, which directly affect this and future generations, and being as easy as possible to do business with.

NDA are also encouraging their larger suppliers to consider SMEs (like WKW) within their sub contracting opportunities directly and indirectly through the supply chain. All Government Departments have an SME action plan to support this aspiration. Their action plan aims to reduce barriers to SMEs like us.

Our precision produces perfection,

enabling our clients to thrive globally.
